According to the Express, the capital of Slovenia, the city of Ljubljana, can be an ideal option for those looking for a romantic getaway. Located between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, it boasts a unique combination of charming architecture, green spaces and vibrant culture.

Pastel-colored buildings create a fairytale atmosphere here. Baroque, Renaissance, and Art Nouveau styles harmoniously coexist on the streets of Ljubljana, watched over by the majestic medieval Ljubljana Castle. As an added bonus, the city is quite compact in size, which is extremely convenient for getting around on foot or by bike.
