Last year, Russians applied for Schengen visas en masse, but at least 10% of Russian citizens were denied. As you know, more than 500 thousand applications were submitted in total. Official statistics have named five countries that are not particularly welcoming to Russian tourists.

This is reported by propaganda media. Thus, Russia is among the top 5 countries in terms of the number of applications for Schengen visas. The top five also includes China, Turkey, India and Morocco.

In 2022, Russians submitted almost 700 thousand applications, with a 10.2% refusal rate. Most often, Russian tourists were refused by Malta, Estonia, Sweden, Austria, and Germany. Full statistics can be found here.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the Norwegian government has taken another step towards isolating Russia. Starting from May 29, the country will not allow Russians whose purpose is tourism. The Russian Foreign Ministry has already responded to the innovation.
