On Tuesday, June 11, a Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed in North Ossetia. The fighter-bomber crashed in the mountains during a training flight, killing the crew.

This was officially reported by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country. They say that the accident was caused by a "malfunction".

"It crashed in a mountainous area during a scheduled training flight. The crew was killed," the agency said.

They assured that there was "no external influence" on the Su-34, and the preliminary cause of the crash was a "technical malfunction."

On May 6, a similar fighter-bomber crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. At the time, it was stated that before the crash, the plane was performing a combat mission near the village of Valuiki, and the crew was killed. Later, Russia claimed that the cause of the crash was an engine failure.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on March 28, Russian air defense system shot down its own Su-27 military aircraft over the temporarily occupied Crimea. This happened when the air defense of the invaders on the peninsula was put on high alert.
