Russia introduced "special military registration" with no medical examination and psychological screening for prisoners

The aggressor state of Russia has decided to register prisoners in Russian prisons for military service. Previously, prisoners in Russia were not subject to such registration.

This decision was made on Friday, November 3, by the Russian government, according to Russian propaganda outlets. This initiative was launched in September 2023 by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country.

It is about the so-called "special military registration". According to the new rules, it does not require a personal appearance at the military registration and enlistment office of Russian criminals serving sentences in colonies and prisons.

The Russian Federation has decided that the lists of "special military registration" will include the name, date and place of birth of the prisoner, as well as the article of the Criminal Code under which the Russian was convicted. The document will also contain data on the type of punishment and the institution where the citizen of the aggressor country is serving it.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the Russian authorities are postponing a new wave of mobilization, realizing the negative attitude towards it. But even without that, tens of thousands of people are recruited every month because the losses need to be replenished somehow. And they are considerable: Russia has already confirmed the deaths of a third of those mobilized during the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

At the same time, the Russian invaders continue to come up with various ways to avoid participating in hostilities in Ukraine. The mother of one of the invaders has been trying to get her son back from the front unsuccessfully.

Contractors are also trying to avoid being deployed to the front line in Ukraine. Most of all, they are afraid of participating in assaults.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Russian occupation forces have begun recruiting prisoners from the temporarily occupied cities of Ukraine to their criminal army. We are talking about those who were convicted by Ukraine before the Kremlin created the fake "republics".
