The long-awaited low-cost Renault 5 E-Tech EV has proved to be very successful and has received many orders. Customers liked the features, design, and price. Now this car has been significantly improved with higher performance.

The details have been revealed to Motor1. The new Renault 5 Turbo 3E is an extreme modification of a budget electric car. The rear-wheel drive car with a capacity of more than 500 hp is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.

Stylistically, the car refers to a sports hatchback of the 80s but looks even more aggressive. The new model is expected to go on sale in 2026 in a limited edition with a huge price tag.

Meanwhile, the standard Renault 5 EV has hit the market at a price starting at 24,000 euros. This is a great offer, a truly budget-friendly car in the electric segment. At the same time, in some countries, there is a bonus of 4,000 euros and the cost is reduced to 20,000.

At the moment, the top-end variant offers 150 hp and 410 km of range. The average modification has 120 hp with a 40 kWh battery pack and a range of 312 km. Later, a cheaper version with a 40 kWh battery pack and a 300 km range with 95 hp will be offered. This will be the cheapest Renault 5 E-Tech.
