Renault is interested in conquering the budget car segment in Europe. The Dacia brand is largely responsible for such cars, and it is developing a new car with a price of about 20,000 euros.

The famous budget car Dacia Sandero is the most affordable model of the Romanian brand. The new generation car is a promising machine that will be built on Renault units. The details have become known to Motor1.

The company is working on a new 4th generation Dacia Sandero. The inexpensive car will be equipped with an electric powertrain for the first time. This option will be offered in the lineup in parallel with internal combustion engines.

The Dacia Sandero Electric budget car will reportedly replace the Dacia Spring in 2027. The novelty will be built on the AmpR Small platform from Renault 4 and Renault 5.

The latter costs about 24,000 euros, but the Romanian electric car should be even cheaper. At the same time, potential buyers should not expect modern fast charging and a large range. This is because the company will focus on affordability.
