Renault prepares to launch the most practical alternative to the Duster
Budget crossover Renault Duster 3rd generation has already entered the market as a convenient low-cost car. And now the manufacturer is preparing the most practical variant. The development of the model has already started.
According to Motor1, the new Renault Niagara pickup will go on sale in 2026. Such a car would appeal to the most practical buyers. In some countries, the company sells a pickup truck based on the 1st generation Duster - Renault Duster Oroch. This car will soon get a successor.
It is expected that the design of the new car will be done in the style of the Renault Niagara concept. This means that the new inexpensive pickup can look even futuristic than the standard crossover. But the technical part of the practical car will share with the Duster 3.

Duster 3 generation engines:
- 1 liter turbo petrol (100 hp);
- petrol turbo 1.2 liter (hybrid, 130 hp);
- petrol turbo 1.6 liter (hybrid, 140 hp).
The equipment of the Duster 2024 turned out to be decent: digital dashboard, 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, parktronic, 6 airbags. Also on the equipment list are keyless access, climate control, rearview camera, wireless charging for smartphone, audio system with 6 speakers.
Apparently, the same solutions should be expected for the Niagara model. Interestingly, Nissan will also get its own version of the car in the future. It is reported that the pickup of the Japanese brand will have a unique design.
