"Only 87.6% love their father?" Sikorski mocks the results of the "exit poll" in Belarus
Poland has reacted ironically to the unrealistic and fake preliminary results of the so-called presidential election in Belarus. Exit polls claim that 87.6% of voters allegedly voted for the current illegitimate president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
On Sunday, January 26, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski reacted to the "voting" results drawn up in Minsk on his page on the social network X. He asked whether "only 87.6% of Belarusians really love their father."
The head of the department also asked whether those who did not vote for Lukashenko would be imprisoned.
"Only 87.6% of Belarusians love their father? Will the rest of them be imprisoned?" he wrote.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, for its part, noted that it was disappointed with the presidential "elections" in Belarus, pointing out that they were held "in violation of basic democratic procedures."
The ministry emphasized that due to the actions of the authorities, independent candidates were unable to participate in the elections. In addition, the campaign was accompanied by repressions against political opponents and intimidation of civil society representatives in Belarus.
"In the context of general censorship and state propaganda, a significant part of Belarusians did not have access to independent and reliable information. As a result of these actions, Belarusian society was effectively deprived of the right to vote. These factors do not allow us to consider the results of today's elections as credible and reflecting the will of the Belarusian people, who have repeatedly demonstrated their maturity and understanding of democratic processes in recent history," the Polish Foreign Ministry emphasized.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the so-called exit polls in Belarus claim that Alexander Lukashenko is once again winning the "presidential election." About 87.6% of voters allegedly voted for the dictator.
