Experts have identified the best new German crossovers, which are a great alternative to Japanese and American cars. They are also distinguished by attractive prices in their segments.

The list was compiled by HotCars and includes very different cars - compact and roomy, fast and economical. However, they are united by their affordability compared to the largest premium models and, of course, their German origin.

The best inexpensive German crossovers:

2. Mercedes-Benz GLB;
3. BMW X1;
4. Volkswagen ID.4;
5. Volkswagen Atlas;
6. Mercedes-Benz GLA;
7. Audi Q3;
8. Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport;
9. Volkswagen Tiguan;
10. Volkswagen Taos.

The winner is the Audi Q5. The experts liked its efficiency, quality and excellent driving performance.

Volkswagen ID.4 is the only electric car in the ranking. It is very practical and quite fast, offering a wide range of modifications.

VW Taos took the last place, but it is still in the top ten. The advantages are a spacious and practical interior with high-quality finishes and good handling.
