New inexpensive VW crossover will be very modern: what is known about it
The new VW ID 2X will be an inexpensive crossover with modern architecture. The car is still being kept secret, but we already know something about it. An electric model is being prepared for the premiere.
The Volkswagen ID 2X crossover will join the manufacturer's next electric lineup, for which new components have been prepared. Autocar showed a variant of the appearance of the future affordable electric car.
VW's cheapest electric crossover is technically a variation of the Volkswagen ID2 compact electric car, which is being prepared as a replacement for the VW Polo. It will be a small car with a length of about 4.2 m, a wheelbase of 2600 mm, a width of about 1.8 m and a height of 1.5 m.

The estimated power of the electric power plant is 220 hp. The range after a full charge is about 450 km. The new Volkswagen is expected to go on sale in 2026 or 2027. The price is in the range of 25,000-30,000 euros.
The new crossover will enter the market as an alternative to the T-Cross.
