New inexpensive Toyota model surprised with its economy
The inexpensive Toyota Prius 2024 (new generation) attracts the attention of experts and buyers. Many people like this car. And now, during a severe test, the hybrid hatchback surprised with its efficiency.
According to the Japanese manufacturer, the new Toyota Prius crossed the United States from the East to the West Coast. The Toyota hybrid covered more than 5,000 km with an average fuel consumption of 2.5 l/100 km. This achievement was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
Prius already has other achievements. In a competition at the New York Auto Show, professional designers selected the finalists from 70 applicants for the Best Design nomination. The jury then selected the winner, which was the Toyota Prius.

Earlier, in early 2024, the new generation Prius was named the best car of the year in the United States as part of the prestigious North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) competition. Experts liked the hybrid for its striking design and efficient powertrain.
At the end of 2023, the economical model was named the best car in Japan. At the same time, the hybrid went far ahead of its rivals in the Japan Car of the Year competition.
