Can we assume that the Dacia budget car and the Jeep crossover are rivals? It turned out that if you compare the two cars in a modern rigorous test, they will show very similar results.
This was reported by Motor1. They drew attention to the results of crash tests of the Dacia Duster and Jeep Avenger. These are new models that have already aroused great interest. At the same time, the positioning of the cars is different.
The new Jeep Avenger 2024 crossover is aimed at stylish young buyers. The 3rd generation Dacia Duster budget car is the choice of calm and practical buyers. The cars have only similar dimensions and equipment. They also have a lot in common in terms of safety.

The Dacia Duster scored 70% protection for adults, 84% for children, 60% for pedestrians, and 57% for electronic assistants. This is a fairly average result, but the car is also inexpensive (about 19,000 euros).
The compact Jeep Avenger did similarly well: 79% protection for adults, 70% for children, 59% for pedestrians, and 53% for electronic assistants.
