Much larger than Tiguan: VW's low-cost family crossover officially revealed. Photo
The new 2026 VW Atlas crossover has been officially declassified as a practical, inexpensive car for a large family. The design was previously shown in photos, and now the long-awaited model is revealed officially.
Atlas is also known as the VW Teramont. It is with this name that the car will enter the Chinese market in the near future, Autohome reports.
In addition, the Volkswagen crossover received the Pro prefix in its name. However, not only the name but also the appearance of the Volkswagen Teramont Pro 2026 model has changed. The car was partially shown earlier in first photos, and now it has been completely declassified.
In general, Volkswagen models have a fairly simple design and are all made in the same style. Therefore, the new 2nd generation VW Atlas has a familiar appearance in the style of other brand vehicles, although it hardly resembles its predecessor. This is the brand's largest crossover (5,158 mm in length), much larger than the popular VW Tiguan.
The price of the VW Atlas in the United States before the update starts at $38,000. But in China, the new model will be even cheaper, although the price has not yet been announced. The most affordable option will be with a 213-horsepower engine.
