Mazda's inexpensive BMW and Audi rival shown in detail
The long-awaited Mazda CX-80 2025 model has been officially unveiled. The Japanese crossover is a rival to the BMW X5 and Audi Q7, although it will be about half the price of its competitors. The long-awaited car was shown in detail online.
The new Mazda CX-80 was demonstrated on the Autogefühl YouTube channel. The car replaced the large Mazda CX-8 crossover and became the company's flagship in Europe and Japan. To meet the expectations of family buyers, the new model has a practical interior with three rows of seats.
Mazda's large crossover is based on the five-seater Mazda CX-60, which competes with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. However, the new model will have more room to compete with large crossovers due to its elongated body (4994 mm with a wheelbase of 3120 mm).
The CX-80 has a current corporate style of the brand with compact headlights and a large grille. The profile is characterized by an elongated hood. This is necessary for a long 6-cylinder engine on a rear-wheel drive platform. All-wheel drive will also be available.
The Mazda CX-80 is equipped with high-quality trim, a modern multimedia system and digital assistants. The base diesel variant has 254 horsepower. Buyers will also be offered a 327-horsepower hybrid.
