Mazda still offers customers low-cost models despite new premium crossovers and electric developments. The company recently reported high demand for cheap cars with internal combustion engines.

Details are provided by Motor1. The Japanese company drew attention to the slowdown in the popularity of electric vehicles. They cited the American market as an example, where the buyers mostly prefers reliable and affordable cars with gasoline engines.

Nevertheless, the manufacturer is busy researching the next generation of electric vehicles and developing its own solid-state batteries with increased efficiency. It is also working on new models with internal combustion engines.

The new generations of Mazda MX-5 and RX-7 models are exactly what fans of the Japanese brand are waiting for. At least one car that will be an inexpensive sports model due to its high power may become a reality soon.

The new Mazda, which will compete in the sports segment, will be traditionally cheaper than its rivals from BMW and Mercedes. At the same time, the sports car can get a powerful twin-rotor internal combustion engine with an output of more than 300 hp.
