Just one button will help: how to quickly warm up a cold car

You can quickly warm up the cabin by pressing just one button

The nights are getting colder and the issue of warming up the car interior in the morning before driving remains relevant. In modern models, this problem can be solved by pressing just one button.

According to Sante Plus magazine, the air recirculation button is usually located next to the air flow control knob in the car. And not all drivers are aware of its purpose.

When the circuit is activated, special flaps in the ventilation ducts close to limit the flow of outside air into the car. After that, the fan starts using the air inside the car and, depending on the selected temperature, can heat or cool it. In cold weather, this means that the low-temperature air from outside does not slow down the heating of the cabin.

This climate control system was developed to, for example, protect the driver and passengers from the exhaust gases of the car in front of them. It also limits the ingress of unpleasant odors.

However, it should be remembered that the air recirculation button should only be used for a limited period of time. Since it distills only internal air, over time it is filled with moisture exhaled by people in the cabin, and this can cause the windows to fog up and make the atmosphere inside stuffy.
