It's not over yet: "Peaky Blinders" to get sequel after movie
Fans of the TV series "Peaky Blinders" have not yet had time to enjoy the full-length sequel to their favorite show, as they received new happy news. The creator of the project, Steven Knight, has hinted that it may have another sequel.
According to Deadline, Knight said this in an interview with the British radio Times. According to him, fans of Tom Shelby's story may have other projects ahead of them, in addition to the movie, which is tentatively scheduled for release next year.
In a conversation with journalist Jane Mulkerrins, the screenwriter confirmed that the production of the feature-length spinoff is complete. But the exact date of its release has not yet been set. "It's a little early for that, but, you know, you can assume it will take about a year," Knight said.
And when asked about the possible next sequels to "Peaky Blinders," he said literally this: "Well, it's interesting that you asked that question because the movie is out and it's not over." However, he did not specify whether it would be another series or a full-length sequel. "It's not the end, let me say that. I'm not saying any of that," he said.
The popular BBC drama series "Peaky Blinders" closed after the sixth season in April 2022. The main role in it was played by actor Cillian Murphy, who became even more popular after the release of the biopic Oppenheimer in 2023, where he played the main role. Against this backdrop, it was reported that Netflix is preparing a full-length sequel to the series. Along with Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth will appear in the movie.
After the series, Knight hinted to Deadline that the movie will be dedicated to England during the Second World War. The exact plot of the movie is still being kept secret.
