Potential buyers of the inexpensive Toyota RAV4 crossover around the world have long been waiting for the next generation of the model. And it happened – the car was first shown in a photo before the premiere without any disguise.

Carscoops reports that a picture of the 2026 Toyota RAV4 appeared at a dealer conference in China. It was known that the new Toyota Wildlander will be shown in April 2025. This is the Chinese version of the Toyota RAV4.

The crossover for China differs from the global original only in the design of the front end. The car has always been considered a secondary option, so the new 6th generation Toyota RAV4 may be declassified even earlier.

Recently, running prototypes hit the roads, but their appearance was hidden by camouflage. Nevertheless, serious changes were noticeable. And it is already obvious that the car's silhouette will become more square.

The Japanese company is very careful in modernizing this successful model. The Toyota RAV4 for the 2026 model year will retain its formula and will not demonstrate any dramatic changes in the concept. The car will not turn into an electric vehicle. Hybrid modifications will remain in the lineup.
