Inexpensive, powerful and modern: a new VW shown online. Photo and price
The new low-cost Volkswagen Jetta sedan has been fully declassified after a modernization. The VW Jetta GLI, a top-of-the-line modification of the model with a powerful engine and brighter design, has also gone on sale.
Details are reported by Motor1. The VW Jetta 2025 model year is a mid-life cycle update. The current seventh generation debuted in 2018, so it's time to refresh this popular sedan.
As part of the restyling, the powerful Volkswagen Jetta GLI received the same new bumpers, headlights and taillights as the standard sedan. But here the changes are complemented by black decor and red accents. The body color palette has changed, and design options for large 18-inch wheels have been added.
The VW Jetta 7 GLI sedan also received an updated interior with a more modern multimedia system. It is displayed on a touchscreen monitor that has been enlarged to 8 inches.
The VW Jetta's equipment list includes climate control, wireless smartphone charging, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane keeping assist, and blind spot monitoring. The engine power is 230 hp. The price of the Volkswagen Jetta GLI starts at $33,940. The standard sedan is estimated at $23,000.
