Housekeeping blogs, some cleaning companies, and even some dental clinics have started recommending the product. In fact, this method is sometimes recommended in case you have no other cleaning products.

The reason for this advice may be the alcohol contained in some types of rinses. It is also the basis of many glass cleaning liquids. And it's not just ethanol, but other types of alcohol as well. For example, in mouthwash, you can find isopropanolamine or isopropyl alcohol, which are also suitable for glass cleaning.

Alcohol acts as a solvent, and it can help get dirt and stains off your windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces. However, it is unclear how other ingredients in an oral hygiene product can affect gloss. However, it can be assumed that some components of the mouthwash can leave streaks.
