How to remove black stains on paving stones in the yard: an effective way
Black stains (lichen) on paving stones in the yard can be difficult to remove without the use of chemicals, but there is one household product hiding in your kitchen that experts say works "wonders" and makes cleaning easier.
Thus, the director of The Expert Gate Company, Daniel Scholfield, shared a simple method of removing these black spots, for which you do not need special tools – just a stiff brush, water, and white vinegar, writes Express.
However, before you start cleaning the area, it is important to prepare.
Remove any plants and excess dirt that may interfere with the cleaner with a brush or by hand, and then quickly rinse the patio with clean water. For the next step, you need a good clear space to work in.
So, you need to mix the vinegar with water in a 50:50 ratio and then pour this liquid on the affected area (although you may want to test on a small area first to make sure it won't damage or discolor your tiles).
Leave it all on for one hour and then brush with a stiff brush to remove all the lichen and debris, then rinse with clean water. If you still see some signs of black spots, clean the tiles again to make sure the staining is gone for good.
To avoid these black spots from returning, use a combination of vinegar and water regularly to keep your pavers clean.
