How to get rid of mold on bathroom tile joints: an effective method

A cleaning enthusiast has shared a simple mixture to get rid of mold on the tile joints in the bathroom.

Chantelle Mila, also known as @mama_mila on TikTok, shared her quick and easy way to get rid of one of the most unpleasant problems when cleaning.

Mold develops in cement mortar primarily because it is a porous material that easily absorbs moisture, creating an environment for mold growth.

The additional element of high humidity, poor ventilation, as well as soap and high temperatures make the shower an ideal place for mold to form. To combat this, Chantelle has prepared a three-ingredient solution that gets rid of mold and prevents it from occurring in the future.

All you need is some hydrogen peroxide, dishwashing liquid, and tea tree oil.

"This powerful mixture can be used on grout, tile, shower door seals, and everything in your bathroom. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off to get a shiny surface," the author of the video wrote.

Tea tree oil is an excellent mold remedy because it is a natural fungicide that helps kill mold spores.

Experts also noted that although tea tree oil is natural and environmentally friendly, it can be toxic if ingested and cause irritation to sensitive skin.
