Teaching dogs to respond to commands is crucial, especially if they are going to accompany you in public places where there will be other people. It is extremely important for dog owners to be able to control their pets and make sure they do not disturb or bother other people.
The essence of the technique offered by the expert is to repeat the command repeatedly until your dog starts to obey it. According to Will, at the beginning of his dog's training, he would order him to "Sit!" but he would run away. Then the dog handler would return the animal to the place where it ran from and repeat the request until it complied.
