Honda will return to production inexpensive model of the sports segment, which is known as the Prelude coupe. More than 20 years ago, this car was removed from the lineup, and now they are preparing a new generation with unusual equipment.

In 2023, the Honda Prelude concept was shown at the Tokyo Auto Show. The elegant sports coupe looked like a production-ready car. It is expected that in 2025 the novelty will go to the assembly line almost unchanged. According to Carscoops, the technical equipment of the novelty will surprise enthusiasts.

Earlier there was already information that work on the entry-level sports model is actively underway. The new Honda Prelude 2025 is considered a hybrid car. Strict environmental regulations require some electrification.

Honda Prelude

According to current information, the coupe will get a fuel-efficient powertrain from the Honda Accord and Civic hybrid models. Power will be 207 hp, but this is still preliminary data. Interestingly, besides the usual variator in hybrid systems, the manufacturer will also offer a manual transmission.

In terms of dimensions, the car is a little larger than the Mazda MX-5. Soon the car will be declassified in all details.
