For the first time, singer Madonna told how she survived a bacterial infection in the summer of 2023. According to the pop star, while lying in the intensive care unit, she felt a connection with her deceased mother, who seemed to speak to her.

This became known from a video posted by fans on the social network X (Twitter). Madonna shared the painful moment of her life with the audience during her concert in Antwerp, Belgium, which was part of her twelfth tour of the cities of America and Europe.

Four months ago, the singer was unconscious in a hospital. People thought, Madonna recalls, that she would not be able to recover from this state. "It's a bloody miracle that I'm here now. My mother, God bless her, she has to look after me, she said: "Girl, it's not time for you to go," the pop star told the crowd. Madonna Louise Fortin, the singer's mother, died in 1963 at the age of 30 from breast cancer.

The artist said that a strange thought came to her at that moment. She suddenly felt compassion for her mother, who knew she was about to die while lying in the hospital. "She was given another chance, so I'm very grateful," the singer added.
