Ford Escape's new affordable crossover won't arrive after 2025
It became known that Ford will stop production of the affordable compact crossover Escape. The model will not appear after 2025 in the new generation. But it will be replaced by an electric car.
Journalists Motor1 addressed directly to the automaker for comments on this decision. The company will abandon the Ford Escape crossover, which will disappear from sale after 2025. Even though the vehicle recently underwent an update for the 2023 model year.
It is not yet known whether the same fate awaits the Ford Kuga crossover, the European variant of the Escape. The cars are technically almost identical to each other. Therefore, the optimization may affect the Kuga.
The cuts will also affect the Ford Edge crossover and the Transit Connect van. These cars will also disappear from the company's showrooms by 2025. Earlier there was information that the company does not see further expediency in the production of cars with internal combustion engines and plans to switch to electric cars.
The successor Escape will definitely be an electric car. Probably, a similar scenario will happen with other models of the company.
