Finland's Eurovision Song Contest 2023 participant plays a fool after desecrating Ukraine's flag in Estonia

The Finnish singer Käärijä, who represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, commented on the recent scandal with the Ukrainian flag. Pretending to be a fool, he responded to a message from one of his fans
This became known from the social network X (Twitter). Käärijä wrote that he seemed to have confused the Ukrainian flag with the Swedish flag.
The user wrote to the artist that his actions were disrespectful: "The Ukrainian flag thrown under the table is disrespectful, do you have a conscience?"
To which the singer sent an absurd response, as if he did not know that it was the flag of Ukraine. "I thought it was the flag of Sweden. It's my fault!" he wrote.
Käärijä explained that many things happen on stage, so he can't keep track of everything. "It's very sad that people now hate me because of a misunderstanding," the artist added.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote about the situation that happened at Käärijä's concert in Estonia. Despite the support of Ukraine and friendly relations with this year's Ukrainian representatives - the TVORCHI band, with whom the singer became friends during Eurovision 2023, the artist did not pick up the blue and yellow flag from the floor. Fans threw it on stage, but Käärijä ignored the gesture.
