Famous Ukrainian featherweight boxer Arnold Hegay (21-1-1, 13 KOs) secured a swift victory over Spain's Jon Martinez (14-9-5, 2 KOs). The bout in Barcelona concluded with a technical knockout.
The 31-year-old native of Lymanske (Odesa region) took control of the ring from the first minutes. Our compatriot skillfully worked "on the floors," compelling his opponent to adopt a defensive stance.
In the third round, a barrage of body and head punches led the Spaniard to opt out of continuing the fight.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in July 2023, Hegay knocked out Nicaraguan fighter Freddy Lines (17-4, 12 KOs). The bout at the show in Dubai ended prematurely.
In May of last year, Hegay defeated Mexican Ruben Tostado Garcia (25-10, 8 KOs). The fight in Cologne, Germany, concluded in the 2nd round.
