China's cheap alternative to Toyota and Ford revealed in fresh photos
The new low-cost SUV BAIC BJ40 2nd generation from China has already hit the market. The new model has a Land Rover design, and the price is comparable to a compact crossover Toyota RAV4.
As OBOZ.UA reminds, the new frame SUV is a cheap alternative to Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford Bronco. The new car looks modern. This was achieved by copying the stylistics of different models of Toyota, Ford and Land Rover - the Chinese have not learned to develop their own design. However, such a task has never been set.
The car turned out to be large. The length of BAIC BJ40 is 4790 mm (wheelbase - 2760 mm), width - 1940 mm, and height is equal to 1895 mm. Ground clearance is 230 mm.
The equipment includes three monitors on the front panel (one of them is a digital dashboard) and wireless charging for a smartphone. The new BJ40 is powered by a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an output of 244 hp.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drive is all-wheel drive. The price of the Chinese SUV - about 25,000 dollars for the base version.
