Budget and delicious Firework salad: what to add to the New Year's dish

Beets can be used to make a lot of delicious and light salads as they go well with vegetables, herbs, cheese, egg, herring, and legumes.

The FoodOboz editorial team shares a recipe for a very bright, tasty and budget-friendly Firework salad prepared with beets, meat and pomegranate.

Ingredients:

• 4 medium potatoes
• 2 medium carrots
• 1 large chicken breast
• 3 medium beets
• 10 pieces of candied prunes
• 1 pomegranate
• 1 cup of walnuts (200 g)
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 400 g of mayonnaise
• ground black pepper and salt to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Cook the vegetables and grate them separately. Add mayonnaise, garlic, and candied fruit to the beets and mix.

2. Cut the meat into cubes, add mayonnaise and nuts and mix.

3. Assemble the salad in layers: grated potatoes, mayonnaise, carrots, mayonnaise, chicken, mayonnaise, and beetroot. Sprinkle with nuts and pomegranate seeds.
