Brits will have to report daffodils in their gardens: what's the deal?
In Britain, gardeners who will have daffodils in their gardens this spring are warned to report them.
This is due to the fact that the Royal Horticultural Society's charity garden fund is trying to find three lost species of daffodils that are either on the verge of extinction or already extinct in this country, Express writes.
The charitable organization wants to know the color, type and height of garden daffodils across the country this spring to better understand what is happening to the ubiquitous flowers and which ones may already be lost due to climate change.
As it turned out, daffodils are far from limited to white and yellow. There are 31,000 known varieties in green, pink, and red.
To report their daffodils, the British are asked to send an email to the dresa [email protected], attaching a photo.
