The new BMW electric car was shown for the first time in a photo. The BMW i3 Neue Klasse will be the cheapest sedan of the Bavarian brand without an internal combustion engine - more affordable than the large i5 and i7 electric cars.

The details have become known to Carscoops. This is the first production model of the new Neue Klasse line. At least one more crossover will appear as part of this architecture. And the i3 model itself is perceived as an alternative to the BMW 3 series.

Also, do not confuse the new product with the compact electric hatchback of the same name, which has already left the model line. This is a completely different car.

Obviously, the prototype was hidden under camouflage during the road tests. This makes it impossible to see the design of the production car. But it is known that it looks like the 2023 concept.

The basic configuration is expected to have a 300 horsepower powerplant. And the top modification from the BMW M division can receive a power of more than 1300 hp. The next generation battery within the Neue Klasse architecture, according to the company, will offer 800 km of range.
