Audi Q4 E-Tron is the cheapest electric car of the German company. Despite the fact that the brand positions itself as premium, electric offerings in the lineup have to start somewhere. However, the equipment of the cars managed to surprise.
The details are reported by Motor1. The price of the 2024 Audi Q4 E-Tron starts at $50,000. This amount has nothing to do with affordability, but Audi does not offer a cheaper electric car on the global market.
Interestingly, for that amount of money, the electric crossover is equipped with cloth seats, stamped steel wheels and rear drum brakes - like a Renault Logan. Well, it seems that electric cars will not soon equal in price with equivalent cars with internal combustion engines. Such elements had to be sacrificed to bring a more or less competitive electric car to the market.
Interestingly, cheap parts in other Audi models have been abandoned. The company noted that all models on the fresh PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) platform, designed for cars with internal combustion engines, will be equipped with real exhaust system tailpipes, which can be seen from the rear.
The thing is that recently the German automaker offered on its cars cheap plastic imitation of spigots - this element was part of the rear bumper.
