Another child of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has been appointed to a high government position. His eldest son, Akhmat, became the republic's Minister of Youth Affairs and has already won the highest award.
This appointment was not reported separately, but the head of the republic's government, Magomed Daudov, pointed to Kadyrov's new position in a post about the award. He added that Akhmat "solves any tasks at a high level," without specifying what exactly his merits are, Kavkaz.Realii reports.
"During the event, Magomed Daudov presented the highest award of the Czech Republic, the Order of Kadyrov, to the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Czech Republic, Akhmat Kadyrov. The award was presented to him for his significant contribution to improving the quality of work of youth organizations, comprehensive support of the younger generation and active participation in the public life of the region," Kadyrov Sr.'s Telegram channel reports.
Earlier, Akhmat Kadyrov was appointed First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy. He received this position shortly after coming of age, which caused outrage and criticism among Russians.
In 2023, Akhmat became his father's assistant and the head of a branch of the pro-government Dvizheniye pervykh (Movement of the First). In addition, last spring, the teenager was received in the Kremlin by Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the time, political analysts regarded this as a wedding gift to the son of the head of Chechnya.
According to media reports, about 100 relatives of the Kadyrov family hold public office at various levels in Chechnya. These are his children, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, and brothers of varying degrees of kinship.
