An Iranian man was detained in Moscow for wearing a Balenciaga T-shirt with the flag of Ukraine, but there is a nuance

In the Russian capital of Moscow, security forces detained an Iranian citizen wearing a white Balenciaga T-shirt with the flag of Ukraine. The court found him guilty of "discrediting" the Russian occupation army and imposed a fine of 50 thousand rubles (about 22.5 thousand UAH).

This was reported by Russian media. According to the Baza Telegram channel, 31-year-old Hidari Hossin stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel in Moscow.

The police detained him on Vasilievsky Des cent, noticing a white T-shirt allegedly from the fashion brand Balenciaga.

It featured the flag and coat of arms of Ukraine, as well as a QR code with a link to a fundraiser.

The Iranian was taken to the nearest police station and a report was drawn up for "discrediting" the army of the aggressor country, Russia.

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow found him guilty and fined him 50 thousand rubles.

According to Baza, Khidari's T-shirt was a fake, as Balenciaga officially produced only a black sweatshirt with the flag of Ukraine.

The T-shirt was taken away from the Iranian, it is "subject to destruction," the press service of Moscow's courts of general jurisdiction said.
