American Lucid shows off its cheapest Tesla rival
American automaker Lucid has shown its cheapest model to compete with Tesla. Of course, it's a crossover. And, of course, an electric car. In fact, Lucid produces only EVs.
The new Lucid crossover is shown in the first photo. This is a teaser, which the company is using to stir up interest in the new model. The car does not have a name yet - at least it is not mentioned. Details are reported by Motor1.
The Lucid electric car will get a basic position in the lineup and will be located below the Air and Gravity models. The estimated price is less than $50,000. The Tesla Model Y crossover is an obvious rival.
The first photo doesn't show much. Although we can already say with certainty that the new design is very different from the Air and Gravity, which are made in a common style.
They did not provide any specifications. However, they noted that thanks to their own technological expertise, they want to offer a competitive range from a smaller and lighter battery pack. Production of the electric crossover is expected to begin in 2026.
