A serious problem found in Citroen's new budget car
The long-awaited 2024 Citroen C3 Aircross budget crossover has attracted attention due to its low price and striking design. However, it has a serious problem.
During LatinNCAP testing, the new Citroen C3 Aircross was given 0 stars out of 5 for safety. The car failed the crash test completely, although there are reasons for this.
The safety of adult passengers was rated at 33%, children - at 11%, pedestrians - 50%, and the work of electronic assistants was rated at 35%. As standard in Brazil, the new C3 Aircross is equipped with only two airbags. In addition, the body structure was called not strong enough.
The Citroen C3 Aircross did not pass the crash test.

The cheap Citroen crossover is 4390 mm in length. The spacious interior made it possible to install a third row of seats and offer the model in a seven-seat configuration.
The new Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine with a total output of 136 hp. Buyers will also be able to choose an electric version with 113 hp (range of 300 km) and a basic gasoline version with a capacity of 100 hp.
