A biathlete from the Ukrainian national team finished last in the World Cup race
Ukrainian biathlete Artem Pryma had a disastrous race in the mass start at the 6th stage of the Biathlon World Cup, currently being held in Antholz/Anterselva, Italy. The 36-year-old native of Chernihiv finished more than 5 minutes behind the winner, securing the last, 30th place.
Right from the start, the Ukrainian encountered issues with his shooting. Two misses on the shooting range were sufficient to push him to the bottom of the pack. As the race progressed, Artem's deficit only increased.
The Ukrainian biathlete struggled to regain composure, resulting in a total of 8 inaccurate shots.
Norwegian Vetle Kristiansen emerged victorious in the event, with his compatriots Johannes Dahle and Webjorn Soerum claiming second and third place, respectively.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, a mixed relay race took place at the Biathlon World Cup the day before. Only 12 out of 24 teams finished. The rest were disqualified as lapsed.
