What to make from young cabbage for dinner: a recipe for a hearty dish

Cabbage is a budget-friendly, versatile and always available vegetable that can be used to make salads, fritters, add to borscht and even make steaks in the oven.
Food blogger Tatiana Sheremet(tania_sheremet_) on her Instagram page shared a recipe for baked young cabbage with chicken fillet, vegetables, rice and sauce.
Ingredients:
- young cabbage - 1pc
- chicken breast - 400g
- onion - 1 medium piece
- carrot - 1 medium carrot
- sweet bell pepper - 1 pc
- tomato sauce - 2-3 tbsp
- rice - 1/2 tbsp (it needs to be boiled)
- turmeric - 0,5 tsp.
- 20 % sour cream - 2-3 tbsp.
- salt, pepper
- oil for greasing and frying vegetables
- apple cider vinegar to grease the cabbage
Cooking method:
1. Cut the young cabbage into thick rings like steaks. Place on a baking tray, brush with vinegar, sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with vegetable oil.
2. Dice the onion and fry until transparent.
3. Grate carrots on a grater and add to the onion, fry for 2-3 minutes.
4. Cut peppers into julienne strips, add to the vegetables and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomato sauce at the end.
5. Cut the chicken into small cubes and put in a bowl. Add fried vegetables, boiled rice, turmeric, salt, pepper and sour cream. Mix and put the mass on the cabbage, pour vegetable oil on it.
6. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
