What things should not be vacuumed: not everyone knows this

A vacuum cleaner is an indispensable cleaning assistant that owners use to quickly clean their apartment of dust and debris. But such a familiar household appliance can be easily damaged if you do not avoid sharp and dangerous objects.

OBOZ.UA has compiled a list of things that are better not to vacuum. In some cases, you should use a broom or a wet cloth.

Glass

Shards of glass or ceramic objects should be removed with a broom only. Sharp particles can damage the dust cup and other mechanisms of the vacuum cleaner, which can lead to a breakdown of the device.

Liquid

If you have a simple vacuum cleaner without a wet cleaning option, then liquids should be avoided. Water will harm the device and it can even lead to fire and mold.

Metal objects

Small objects such as coins, paper clips, or pins can get stuck in the hose or tube and impair dust extraction. They can also cause damage if they get into the motor.

Powders

It is better to clean such mixtures with a damp cloth because the vacuum cleaner will not be able to absorb all the particles and everything will scatter around the room.
