According to The Sun, Mrs. Hinch, a blogger who specializes in household tips, gave her advice. She told her subscribers that she soaks the oven rack in the bathroom overnight so that it can be easily cleaned in the morning, and asked them about their life hacks for keeping the bottom and door clean.
First of all, she was advised to put the grate on an old towel so that it would not scratch the bathtub. And add washing soda to the water. It is also recommended to apply a paste of this soda to the inside of the oven and leave it for a while to clean it.
But the most popular recommendation is to clean the bottom of the appliance with a regular dishwasher tablet, which can be used instead of a scrubber. The tablet cleans the oven both mechanically, as it has an abrasive structure, and chemically, as it is a non-aggressive detergent.
Other tips for cleaning the oven:
- A thorough oven cleaning should be done every three months;
- however, if you use the appliance frequently, it will need cleaning more often;
- after each use of the oven, as soon as it cools down, wipe it from the inside from any liquids - this will help prevent the appearance of soot and smoke inside the appliance.
