Location

The best place for cherries is an area where stone fruit trees, such as cherries, plums or apricots are also planted. Such a neighborhood will promote rapid growth and saturation with nutrients. Accordingly, this will lead to a plentiful harvest, and the berries will be juicy and sweet.

The area should be well-lit so that the tree receives enough sunlight. Choose locations with drained sandy, sandy loam or loamy soil with neutral acidity.

Avoid areas where groundwater is close or in lowlands where meltwater stagnates in the spring.

If you want to plant several trees at once, keep a distance of 3 meters between the seedlings so that they have enough space for rooting and development. The planting hole should have a diameter of about 80 cm and a depth of 50-60 cm.
