The new Hongqi HS7 Chinese crossover has debuted on the market. Orders for the model are already being taken. The large car has a powerful hybrid powertrain and a low price.

The design of Hongqi HS7 is made in the classic spirit of Chinese cars: illogical, garish and flashy, with an abundance of controversial solutions and cheap chrome decor made of plastic. This is how local Chinese buyers understand luxury on wheels. The photo is published by CarNewsChina.

The crossover turned out to be large. The body length is 4995 mm (wheelbase is 2920 mm), width is 1960 mm and height is 1760 mm. It can accommodate 6 or 7 people, depending on the configuration of the HS7.

The novelty is powered by a hybrid powertrain. It is based on a 2-liter gasoline engine. Output is 252 hp (380 Nm of torque). Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds.

The price of Hongqi HS7 is starting from $36,500. The big Chinese crossover turned out to be affordable, especially given that Hongqi is considered a premium brand in the PRC.
