Pastel tones and colours of gemstones are more relevant than ever

You've probably noticed many times that you look different in a dress of the same style but different colours. One shade looks rich, making you look royally luxurious, while the other "destroys" your attractiveness. In colouristics, there is a concept of "royal colours" - those that are the most advantageous in the image.

OBOZREVATEL will tell you which palette is considered "expensive" and how to combine tones in your wardrobe to look as sophisticated and graceful as possible. We will also analyse in detail the looks with Queen Charlotte's favourite colour (to see the photos, scroll to the end of the page).

What colours will make the look more expensive?

1. Beige

Many stylists are now shouting that beige is the new black. It is considered a versatile colour, as it is perfect for both the role of an auxiliary "diluting" shade and the main or even predominant one. The beige total look has been incredibly popular over the past few years. And despite the fact that it is not particularly practical, it makes a lady look irresistibly beautiful.

2. Pastel shades

Pastel shades are universal and suitable for women regardless of colour type, age, status. They are well used in different styles of clothing - casual, business, evening, romantic.

3. Precious colours

This group includes the colours of precious stones: emerald, sapphire and ruby. They add elegance to a woman, emphasise her high status, but can also make her look several years older. But in any case, burgundy, navy blue and emerald coloured items will look boring and restrained.

How to combine royal blue?

Blue is an original, deep, attractive, self-sufficient colour. It was "discovered" by the court tailor of Queen Charlotte of England. A lot of time has passed since then, but blue is still the colour of the monarchy and aristocrats.

Blue + turquoise / blue + mint

Such combinations look non-trivial, fresh and stylish. This palette, according to the colour wheel, belongs to the same family, so it's easy to combine them with each other.

Blue + purple

Purple is a combination of blue and red, so royal blue goes well with this colour scheme. The main thing to remember is that the more saturated the sapphire colour is, the brighter the purple should be. If you choose navy blue, then the purple should be dark as well.

Blue + yellow

Images in blue and yellow are dictated by nature itself - a blue sky and a yellow wheat field, or a yellow flower against a cloudless horizon. It's a win-win for bows.

Blue + orange

At first glance, it seems that this combination of tones is very strange. But at the same time, it is harmonious. The colour wheel clearly indicates the opposite of these shades, they are called "complimentary". Therefore, they are suitable for bright and bold people.

As OBOZREVATEL recently told you, fitted long sleeves, oversized jeans, asymmetrical skirts and checkered shirts will be the main trends for spring 2023, adding zest to the look. Find out what other things to add to your wardrobe in our article.
