Peskov named a new "SMO" goal after the drone attack on Moscow
At this stage of the war, the Kremlin considers one of the goals of the criminal "special military operation" to be the " defense" of Russia. They say that there is a "terrorist threat" from Ukraine.
This was expressed by Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin. He made the corresponding statement on August 25 after another restless night in Russia due to unknown drones.
"The SMO is conducted, among other things, to stop terrorist drone attacks from Kyiv," the Kremlin spokesman issued.
He also said that the war against Ukraine will continue "to exclude a threat from Kyiv in the future."
Putin's spokesman ignored the fact that no UAVs threatened Moscow before the full-scale invasion.
Explosions were heard in the Kaluga and Tula regions of the aggressor country on the night of August 25. The airspace over Vnukovo and Domodedovo Moscow airports was closed once again, the authorities introduced the already-known "Carpet" plan.
As OBOZREVATEL wrote, drones were also seen over the territory of Ukrainian Crimea temporarily occupied by the Russians on August 25. It is reported that the village of Perevalnoye, where the 126th Coastal Defence Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia is stationed, was hit.
