Indoor plants

Potted flowers need time to gain strength before they bloom again, so they are dormant. During this period, you should not fertilize them and water them regularly.

OBOZ.UA has compiled a list of such plants. Do not worry if your flowerpot does not bloom in winter, it does not mean that it is sick.

Evergreen indoor flowers need rest during the cold season.

Succulents

Succulents are plants that have special tissues for storing water. They include: aloe, fat woman, euphorbia, haworthia, lithops, echeveria, and others. In winter, water the flowerpots as little as possible and do not fertilize them. The best temperature for their recovery is 15 degrees Celsius.

Cactus plants

These are perennial flowering plants that belong to the succulent family. They are distinguished from succulents by their areoles. This is a special organ that is a modified axillary bud with scales that have turned into hairs or spines. Such flowerpots need a temperature of 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. There is no need to water.

Dieffenbachia, tradescantia, palms, citrus, hibiscus and monstera can overwinter without hibernation. But it is important to provide them with favorable conditions for growth and development. Choose a place where the temperature reaches +20 degrees Celsius.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA published the rules for caring for poinsettias to make them bloom longer.
