No condensation for weeks: a simple winter life hack

Alina MilsentLife
How to stop the formation of condensation

Condensation on windows is not just an aesthetic problem. Excessive humidity leads to the active reproduction of fungal spores, and mold is known to provoke many diseases: from skin dermatitis to respiratory diseases.

Condensation usually appears on windows due to a sharp temperature drop. The Express publication told us how to quickly and effectively get rid of excess moisture on the windows.

The easiest method to try first is to use dishwashing detergent. Apply a little liquid to a cloth and wipe the areas where condensation is most common.

White vinegar is an effective component in the fight against mold. In general, experts advise washing windows and window sills with a solution of warm water and vinegar as often as possible. Acidic components will act as effective disinfectants and get rid of bacteria and fungal spores.

Experts also recommend using another common household ingredient to prevent condensation - baking soda. The affected areas on the windowsill should be treated with a paste mixture of water and baking soda and washed thoroughly with water.

By the way, some indoor plants will become indispensable helpers in the fight against condensation. Sansevieria, for example, eliminates condensation thanks to its ability to absorb excess moisture from the air through tiny pores on its leaves, known as stomata. And climbing plants are ideal even for bathrooms, as they absorb moisture and purify the air in the room.
