Nissan has revealed the new Leaf: a low-cost electric car turned into a crossover vehicle

Japanese Nissan has revealed a new next-generation Leaf electric car. The low-cost car has already been seen by North American dealers, but it will go on sale only in 2026.
According to Automotive News, details about the novelty were shared by one of the representatives of the dealer, to whom the car was shown at an internal closed presentation.
According to him, the new Nissan Leaf 2026 will change beyond recognition. The electric car was similar to a smaller version of another electric model, Nissan Ariya.
Earlier there was information that the new Leaf will be built based on Ariya. It was also known that the model would turn from a hatchback into a crossover. This was hinted at by the photos, which were distributed by the manufacturer. However, it was not a production car.
It is expected that the new electric car will offer a range of more than 400 km. The Japanese company intends to present 18 more electric models by 2030. A sedan and a lot of crossovers will be among them.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the cheapest Tesla model was shown online before the premiere.
