Mackerel is a fish that is perfect for marinating. There are very few bones in it and it does not need to be cleaned for a long time. For a spicy taste it is enough to add a few spices and spices. Such fish can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 6 days.

Ingredients:

  • defrosted mackerel
  • 1200 ml water
  • 9 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 12 bay leaves
  • 1.5 tsp. black pepper
  • 15 peppercorns
  • 6 cloves

Method of preparation:

 

1. Pour water into a saucepan and add all the other ingredients.

2. Boil for 3-4 minutes and let the fullness cool. Do not pour hot or even warm brine.

 

 

3. Wait for complete cooling.

4. At this time, prepare the fish: mackerel should be cleaned from the insides and well washed.

 

 

5. Put the fish in a container and pour the cold brine.

6. Cover and leave in the refrigerator to marinate for 24 hours.
