Kia has revealed a photo of its new affordable EV5 electric crossover. The car is comparable in size to the Kia Sportage but acts in a completely different segment.
The novelty was reported on the official website of the automaker. The new Kia EV5 2024 model year was made in a stylish, spectacular and modern design with unusual lighting and sharp lines.
The length is 4,615 mm (wheelbase is 2,750 mm), the width is 1,875 mm and the height is 1,715 mm. The weight of 1870 kg is not critical for an electric car, especially taking into account the large battery pack with a capacity of 77 kWh, which will provide 600 km of range.
That's more than its main rivals the Volkswagen ID.4 and Tesla Model Y crossovers claimed. The new Kia electric crossover will go to the Chinese market in November in a rear-wheel-drive version with a single 218 hp motor. Top speed is 185 km/h.
At the moment it is unknown whether the car will have a four-wheel drive dual-motor version. The approximate price should be less than 30,000 dollars. The new electric car Kia will appear in global markets in 2024.
